Good day all around

After the day I had yesterday, I NEEDED a good day today. I don't know if Samuel was on good behavior because Daddy was at home or if we were both more calm because Jacob was home. Either way, it was a pretty good day. He woke up at 6 AM, as usual, and we nursed/ate and hung out until about 8:30 AM. At that point Jacob woke up and I got to sleep for 4 more hours!!! Talk about a wonderful husband!  :)

I had been wanting to trim his daggers fingernails today, and with Jacob's help we were able to do it. Manicure and nursing don't mix. Samuel was upset with Jacob and took it out on me! So after we nursed, I gave him his bottle and Jacob worked on the nails. I WISH I had a camera! It was the funniest thing- our chubby little boy sitting on my lap eating while Jacob sat in front of us and trimmed his nails. He looked to be in the lap of luxury!  :) Of course it was more like trimming the nails on a cat, and between the 2 of us I couldn't have gotten a picture no matter how hard I tried. Oh well.

Then tonight while I was out running an errand, Samuel's digestive system....became UNstopped up!!! Yeah! Maybe that was what had him all twisted up yesterday. His system was all twisted up! I swaddled him at 10:15 PM tonight, (he didn't wake up) and I laid him back in his crib. So far so good.

I never thought I'd be "that Mama" that wrote about her kid pooping...  ;)

In other news, I was able to take pictures of the 8x8 scrapbook I made for my mother-in-law. I got the framework done in October, so after Samuel was born I just had to add pictures. I did a similar album for my friend Tiffany Gribble Jones as a wedding present. This size is great for gifts- not too big, not too small. (It was quite a challenge, by the way, to take pictures of pages in an album, without a glare, at 11 PM!)  :)

  1. You crack me up, Ashley. I guess we need a new saying: "Poop is in the eye of the beholder". :)
