Sunday was a fun afternoon for us. My Mom had been suggesting that I get a Skype account but I just didn't have the time to do it. Well, Samuel woke up from a nap so we got on the computer together. :) In about 10 minutes we were talking to my sister Amy, my Mom, and my stepdad Dan. It was awesome!! Dan and Amy haven't seen Samuel yet (in real life) so they were tickled to death. I think Amy would have squeezed Samuel's cheeks through the computer if she could! :)
Today was back to the grind. I got Samuel up at 5 AM and he was still sleepy. When it was time for him to eat he ate So. Slowly. And I don't want him to be hungry! We were 15 minutes later than usual getting out the door, and he didn't wake up when I dropped him off at Kathi's house. It did make dropoff a little quicker, but still. As a Navy girl, I like to be on time! (and the fact that I started labor ON my due date = happy girl) :)
This afternoon I picked Samuel up, and Jacob actually beat us home by about 2 minutes. Not bad! Samuel ate before I picked him up, and was still asleep when we got home. This gave Jacob and I a few minutes to get out of our uniforms and chat about our day. I had planned on making Chicken Puffs from allrecipes.com, so I got started on that. (This is HUGE, by the way. To say that I hate cooking, and I know hate is a strong word, is an understatement. So to come home and cook dinner...monumental.) Samuel woke up, ate, and then went back down for a nap.
After dinner I started on a crafty project for tomorrow. My boss Sara's 28th birthday is tomorrow, so we're planning some fun surprised for her in the office. She's coming in a little late, so we have time to get it all set up before she gets there. I'm not posting pictures tonight in case she reads my blog, but I will have them tomorrow.
And I didn't get any pictures of Samuel on Sunday *gasp*, but I had Jacob try to take some of us tonight. Someone, and I'm not going to say his name, did NOT want to participate. Eating was more on his agenda. Well, and looking at the ceiling fan. Out of the many out takes, this is what I got...
Love the onesie with the blue truck- just like Mama's!
He's become quite the drooler
Checking out the picture behind Mama's head
And while I was working on my crafty project, Samuel played on the other Tummy Time mat...
I actually have a picture of him holding up one finger in utero as well :)
Yes, you are seeing that correctly. His belly really IS that big!!
Enthralled with the butterflies
And one last thing...Samuel is 7 weeks old today!!! Hope you have a great week!
So sorry you couldn't get to sleep the other night. That is frustrating. LOVE the pictures of Samuel - and I am SO GLAD you got to skype with your Mom, Dan and Amy! Woo Hoo! WOW - a minute for you and Jacob to talk? Your little guy is quite a helper, isn't he? :)
ReplyDeleteYou're balancing a lot of things right now - and you are doing an AMAZING job!!!!!
