Yesterday Samuel and I had a lunch date with Morgan and Zane Miller. Morgan and I work together and she and her husband are both in the Navy also. She was due on Christmas Day, but ended up having Zane on Dec 14th. Samuel is 2 days older than Zane!!! :) I would love it if they can stay in the area so our boys can be buddies, but I see them going back to Washington State soon so they can be with her husband/his daddy. Boo! Both the boys did really well at Chili's while she and I chatted. (for 3 hours) I was really hoping to get more pictures of the babies together, but after one shot my camera battery died. At least I got one...

In other news, Samuel has become quite the sleeper! After the visiting nurse stopped by the other day and said not to worry about waking him up at night to eat, we've been letting him sleep. Sunday night he slept 10 HOURS and Monday night he slept 9.5!!! This morning at 4 AM he was passing gas, and we heard him through the monitor. Normally that would wake him up (a loaded diaper) but he slept right through it. It woke US up though! :)
Today has been pretty low key. Samuel is eating more and taking lots of short naps throughout the day. I'll be going back to work on Thursday, so I've been taking more pictures than usual. I was trying to figure out how I wanted to keep pictures at my desk. I made a little "brag book" for Jacob to take to work, and I have a feeling he won't part with it anytime soon. :)
I had a small white tin (kind of looks like an old band-aid tin) that I've had for YEARS. I always figured I'd come up with a use for it someday. Well, that day was today.
So I started out with the tin, 10 pictures that I printed on my Picturemate portable printer, and some baby boy-themed scraps from another project.
I wanted to bring quite a few pictures to work, but I wanted them tucked away so they wouldn't distract me. I got the tin finished in just over an hour. The hardest part was figuring out which pictures I wanted to use!
I'm pretty pleased with the results. Thanks for reading!
Love it and love how you photographed it. This little project is amazing.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photo tin. You are amazing, girl! What a SWEET idea! I'll be praying for you tomorrow - and for sweet Samuel.

...and I wish your friend could stay in the area, too! I LOVE the picture of the boys together...and I'm so thankful you had that time to visit. There's just nothing quite like the company of other mamas!!!!!
