The Next Chapter: Take a deep breath

The last few days have gone by in such a BLUR!! My BFF Becca Brockway and her daughter Lily came to visit on Sunday on their way back from Quantico. Becca's husband just got pinned as a Warrant Officer in the USMC, and he's still doing training. I'm SUPER excited because she'll be making a few more trips up there before his training is over and she's going to stop and stay with us! :)

It always cracks me up how we can go months or even YEARS (she went to FL, I was in VA then we meet up in Japan) and it's like no time has passed. First we were Jones and Stevens, and now we are Brockway and Thomas. Crazy!

When she showed up and unloaded her Mercury Mariner (almost identical to my Escape!) I thought she was moving in!!

Lily was so excited to see a baby, and couldn't resist joining Samuel on the Tummy Time mat.

Becca kept reminding her to be gentle. She was petting him like a cat! It was so cute. We put our babies to sleep and had Super Bowl snacks and got caught up. It's always better to chat in person versus over the phone. They stayed the night, and headed back to Beaufort on Monday.

Not too much has happened over the past few days. Jacob has been busy with work, and I went back to the gym yesterday for the first time since pregnancy. Samuel is still his adorable self. He's been doing really well with holding his head up.

I was on duty today, so I was in dress blues instead of my usual cammies. It took some major planning on my part this morning to get Samuel all ready without any drool on my jacket. :) I got him situated in his carseat, finished getting dressed, and off to Kathi's we went!
