I'm thankful

I'm thankful...

- for a husband who provides for his family (even though it means going to sea)

- nice people who will listen to me vent (and aren't related to me so they don't HAVE to!)

- getting to leave work at 11:15 AM to attend a friend's reenlistment

- a 50 minute nap today after coming home from the reenlistment

- a sweet childcare provider who lets me pick up Samuel a few minutes late and doesn't charge me

- a happy boy who now HAS 3 TEETH!!!!!

- loving family and friends who listen to me say "I didn't sign up for this" and "single parenting isn't for the faint of heart" and "I don't know if I can do this" and "I'm so tired" and provide me with lots of "YOU CAN DO THIS" and "WE ARE PROUD OF YOU" and "WE LOVE YOU AND ARE PRAYING FOR ME"

- for PTS approval as of yesterday which means I have the final approval to reenlist when I want (plan to do it early next year for 6 years)

- a rainstorm this afternoon that dropped the 94 degree temp to 78!!!

- that my sweet Samuel went down tonight without a fight and I was able to do some sewing

- our air conditioner works, we have power, and we have jobs to pay the bills

My little monkey is all over the place now! We've had to corral him in, and tonight (after my wonderful nap!) I had the energy to play with him. He loves to pull himself up on things and stand. When he does, he does the funniest little bouncy/shake his bootie dance. Then he laughs at himself and scrunches up his nose. It's adorable!

I came back downstairs and he put himself in a corner

Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. Samuel has a 3rd tooth coming in on the bottom left, and I think that's why he's been SO out of control. It's 11:18 PM and I haven't heard a peep from him yet. I'm praying he sleeps all night!
