Team Thomas: ALL present and accounted for!!!

This week went by in a blur- I was tired, Samuel is on his own wacky schedule, I don't want to get up in the morning, and I'm trying a new food program. (gotta get this baby weight off by mid-Oct) Aaaaand I had no idea when Jacob was coming home. Do you have any IDEA how FRUSTRATING it is to have millions (ok, probably not millions) but lots of people ask you when your hubby is coming home and you don't know??? Very frustrating!  :(

So today, while at work, I get a text from my hubby. From HIS PHONE!!! What?!? He can only text from his phone if he's close to shore (shhh! don't tell!) or on shore. So?....

This is what Samuel and I came home to---  :)

So excited!!! At first, Samuel was in shock I think. He kept crawling back and forth in front of Jacob, not sure what to do. Then he just attacked his Daddy! It was SO CUTE!!!

Then he used my knee and the ottoman and STOOD HIMSELF UP!! He'd never done that before, and Jacob was there to see it too. Standing up, supported by the ottoman only. Very cool.  :)

I can pull things off the tray, Daddy!

Attack of the Daddy!!!

Standing up in front of the fireplace. If you look closely to his left, you can see all the tiny fingerprints in the black ridges. Because I love to dust.  ;)

Look, Mama. One hand!

Bite marks  :(

Hair by vacuum attachment (courtesy of Daddy)

Wild boy, wilder hair

Getting scared...

Vacuum cleaners aren't fun, Mommy.

All play makes Samuel a tired boy.
His onesie says "Eat. Nap. Play. (repeat)". Very fitting for today.  :)

Back to normal (for now)-
His hand, her hand.
His leg, her leg.
His foot, her foot.
Back together again at last!

Who knew 12 days could feel like a month?...

  1. YEA!!!!! One time when Asa was a baby, Matt was gone long enough for Asa to have a reaction like Samuel's upon Matt's return. He kept grinning at Matt and then burying his head in his shoulder, then picking his head up and grinning, and then burying his head again over and over. I don't think Matt or I will ever forget it--it was so sweet. I can't imagine how hard it is to have Jacob away indefinitely, but I know you are treasuring your moments together and sweetness of your reunions!!

  2. So thankful you three are together!!! What a blessing!! There's just nothing quite like a daddy coming home, is there? Love the pictures of Samuel standing - and playing with Jacob and the vacuum hair. :) I hope all three of you get some good rest and have sweet time together.
