My Sailor is at sea- Boo!

This past weekend was pretty fun. Jacob and I were able to get our housework done, and Sunday I had my scrapbook class and then the 3 of us headed to Norfolk. Jacob wanted to get his hair cut and pick up a few more blue undershirts for the ship. (that cost WAY too much and can only be purchased at an Exchange)  :(

After we spent too much (I found some cute 18 mo things for Samuel), we headed to the Truman. Jacob wanted to get his stuff onboard before the Monday morning work rush. I strapped Samuel in the baby backpack, Jacob grabbed his duffle bag, and off we went. Samuel LOVED the ship!!! The wind coming across the pier blew his hair, and he had the BIGGEST smile on his face! He was laughing, babbling, and waving his hands. Once onboard I asked Jacob to take our picture...neither of us had our phones or the camera. Boo! Next time I'll make sure we are prepared.

This week has been good, even though we're ready for the Truman to come back to Norfolk. Sigh. On Monday I picked up Samuel and Kathi was working with him on clapping his hands. I think he was doing it on Sunday on the ship, but I can't be sure. Tuesday I arrived, he saw me, and instantly "MaMa, MaMa, MaMa!" He was super excited and gave me a big kiss on the cheek. It was a gorgeous day so I decided when we got home to go for a run. Samuel and I took off with the jogging stroller and I thought I knew where I was- 45 minutes later we got back home! I got us lost!! At least I got my exercise!  :) He's also starting to say "bye bye bye." I love it!

Answer to prayer #1- Samuel has been pretty tired this week, so he's usually in bed by 7:30 PM. This gives me some quiet time in the evenings. I'm loving it! Three nights so far and he's slept all night. Even though Jacob is gone.

Answer to prayer #2- My official orders and transfer package arrived! Now there's no doubt that I'm transferring out of my command in November. Only 37 more work days, but who's counting?  ;)

Answer to prayer #3- I got weighed in today (each week until our Physical Readiness Test) and since I've been watching my food and working out I passed!! My body fat percentage is where it needs to be to pass. Hooray!! I just need to keep doing what I'm doing until the official weigh-in/measurement on October 24th. Then I'm having a CUPCAKE!!!  :)

Things are just rocking along here. I'm planning some fun stuff for Samuel and I in October since it will be a long month without our Sailor. On the calendar- Pumpkin Patch with friends and their kids, Renee's 2nd birthday, G'ma Hatfield comes to visit!!!, I'm going to run 2 5K races, attend a baby shower, and I'll be reenlisting. The more we do, the faster time flies, and the quicker Jacob comes home.

Since I'm the only one at home, I usually need my camera when it's not close by. Tonight I was able to get a few pictures while we were playing before bedtime. Here you go!

We crawl really fast!

I think he wanted me to take a profile picture. He refused to look at the camera, and sat really still while I counted to 3. Silly boy!

The boy without feet  ;)
He loves the computer tower because it's right at his level. AND because he's NOT supposed to mess with it!!!

Thanks for looking!
