Freedom

This past week...well, I don't even know how to describe it!  :)  I didn't post much because I was trying to soak up as much time with Jacob as possible before he left for cruise on Friday. It was a tough week, and neither one of us wanted to think about Friday...

On Wednesday, I left work to go pick up Samuel and I got an interesting text from my girlfriend Brittany in SC. Her hubby is in the USMC, and she's no longer in the Navy, so that's why the text caught me off guard...
"Hey. Just saw an article about the Truman not going on cruise and thought about you guys. Do you know anything about this???"

Well, my first thought is "she must have read a vague article and was just hoping it was good news for us." She's a VERY reliable person, and not one to jump off the cuff. Hmmm. So I get to Kathi's house, and SHE says "Did you hear anything about the Truman? I thought you'd know for sure. Are they really leaving on Friday?" What?!? TWO people now!!!

I started texting Jacob once Samuel and I got back in the car and the reply I got was "I have good news for you. I'll tell you at home. Love you!" OH MAN!!! What does this mean???

In case you haven't followed the news THE TRUMAN IS NOT DEPLOYING RIGHT NOW!!!!  :) So I have my hubby for a lot longer. We don't know when he's supposed to leave yet, and that's OK. He's here with us now.  :)

On Friday, Jacob had the day off so he and Samuel hung out while I went to work. When I got home, the boys had just come back from errands- grocery store, Best Buy, and McDonald's. What more could a boy want?!?  :) While I was unloading the car from the week, Jacob stood outside talking to me. We weren't really paying attention to Samuel, so he decided to come see what we were doing!  :)
