Friday, after working all day, I left work early (we were kicked out at noon- love that!) to surprise Jacob on the ship. I called him...only to find out he was on his way home! Hooray!! So I ran back to the car, picked up Samuel, and we headed home. The plan was to go on a date that night, but the babysitter situation prevented a date for 2. So we made it a date for 3! Jacob and I changed clothes (I put on a dress!), and we celebrated early at Joe's Crab Shack. When we got home, we hung out until bedtime.

Saturday, I slept in a bit, then headed out to VA Beach to my Stampin' Up! demonstrator's house for her monthly class/get together. After that it was time for my facial appt. I stopped at Taste, grabbed a crabcake sandwich, and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. On my way back to the house, I made what should have been a quick stop at Michael's. ;) They had some really good sales, and I was able to get 2 more organizational cubes for
This was about a week ago. I'm making cards, and as you can see, I have about an 8x8 inch space to work. Sigh. Believe it or not, there are 2 tables there. You just can't see the other one because it's covered in "Incomplete Projects".
One of my new cubes, see on top (with 3 drawers) is now my "Incomplete Projects" area. I usually work on more than one thing at a time, and now I have a place to put stuff. This way I'm not putting everything completely away, but I also have room on my table to work. (I used to just make piles of In Work stuff.)
This is my cart (without wheels) that has all my essentials on it. Everything used to be much higher, but I've had to re-Samuel-proof my stuff again. He's sneaky and quick! And he always goes for the sharp stuff!!
And here's my work space now. The large bin under the table holds all the stuff I've gathered to scrap Matt and Amanda's wedding. The box on top holds my new goodies from my monthly kit subscriptions. My new Fiskars trimmer is always out, along with a small bin that holds little odds and ends, mail, etc.
And this is my Project Life area. Everything I need is on the card table. My 12x12 paper is out of the way but still visible, and all my 8.5x11 paper is in the box on the floor. My Epson printer had to get moved because a certain little person liked to unplug it.
I worked and worked and worked. Finally, about 9:30 PM, I stopped for the night. There was still some left to do, but the majority of it was done. So now I had a functioning scrapbook room again. :)
Sunday was a day of rest. The boys got up pretty early, ran to Food Lion, and came back to make breakfast. They woke me up about 10 or so. Samuel even did a little dance when I woke up! It was cute. :) We enjoyed a leisurely day together.
And the boys made a fort later in the afternoon, perfect for reading books.
That was my weekend! And it was PERFECT!!! :)
Hip hooray for such a HAPPY Mother's Day (& whole weekend!)!! I'm so glad you had a great weekend and felt as celebrated as you should! :)
