Hello for the first time

Hi to our family and friends!! I'm hoping you'll enjoy reading this blog as I keep you in the loop on us and the latest on sweet Samuel. I also plan to show pictures of my scrapbook projects, as well as my latest baking projects. Thanks for reading!

Today 2 of my girlfriends stopped by, Chris and Adrian. They threw us our VA baby shower and did an AMAZING job!!! I met Adrian through Chris, (their husbands work together in the Navy at Oceana), and Chris and I have been best friends since about 2002 or so. We had a good time catching up, and I loved showing off Samuel to them. Right before they left, I was able to get a few pictures.

It's hard to believe that Samuel is almost a month old!! Everyone told me time would fly, but I just didn't believe it. Jacob was blessed to get 24 days of leave to be with us. His first day back to work was last Friday, so I had 1 day to "break me in" to staying home all day with Samuel by myself. This week will be the test- 5 days, all day, just Samuel and I. We'll see...  :)

    I am so happy for you Ashley! What I expected of a first time mother (Considering I have zero baby experience), and what I saw are two totally different things. I can't believe how flawlessly you have made this huge transition in your life into the role of super momma! You look absolutely beautiful and have that fabulous momma glow. Samuel is the cutest baby ever! Love ya and I am happy I made the cut in your first post! Welcome to blogging!

    Getting the email to read your blog was the most exciting thing!!! I was all about you getting on Facebook so I could read little things going on with you and your beautiful family....but a blog!!!! Woohoo!!!!I am so excited for you. And did I say I am super excited about the blog! LOVE the scrapbook pages! (I would expect nothing less) Love you!
