Mission: Accomplished

What an amazing day! I got home last night from scrapbooking in VA Beach after midnight, got the Escape unpacked, put away my stuff, straightened up a bit, and was in bed by 1:20 AM. Then at 2:20 AM Samuel woke up hungry. I was on baby duty since Jacob had to be up and out the door by 5 AM. (he's on duty this weekend) Samuel slept about 4 hours and was up about 7. I laid him down at 8:30 AM and set my alarm so I could be ready before Morgan and Zane arrived. Well, Samuel slept very well and so did I! I woke up at 11 AM to a phone call from Morgan asking me if I have a white house. Umm, yes?... They were here!!! I jumped out of bed (rested but not ready for company yet) and let them in.

Morgan and I had a BLAST today!!! I started Easy Chili in the crockpot after she got here, and we got down to business on the valentines we were making. She actually asked me this week if she should bring paper to my house. Obviously she doesn't know about my love of all things paper/scrapbook related.  :) We got our project started while the boys napped, and when each one woke up we worked with them to make the valentines. After they both went down for naps, we had lunch.

In the afternoon, Morgan (starting with Samuel) started taking pictures. That girl is AMAZING!!! She has a REALLY nice camera and she knows what she's doing! I was in awe at the pictures she got of Samuel. When Zane woke up, she got some of him too. And of course we had to get some of the boys together.

We had some issues with the way my computer was reading the picture files, so I don't have any to show tonight. But as soon as Morgan sends them to me I'll be posting them. And I'm not showing the valentines because certain Aunts and G'parents (and Great-G'parents) who read this blog will be receiving them. I will post a picture on the 14th though.

But wait! There's MORE!! Tomorrow my friend Becca (who I've served in the Navy with) will be coming in town to stay the night with her daughter Lily who's a year and a half. The last time I saw Becca was on Mother's Day last year, I was newly pregnant, and she and her family were heading to Germany. (her husband is a Marine) And now they're back! He got picked up for an officer package and is a Warrant Officer! Yeah!! The best part? (for me!) My friend now lives 4 hours away!!! So tomorrow will be another fun day of friends, kiddos, food.... oh, and the Super Bowl!  :)

Thanks for reading!
