By the numbers

Monday morning

4- the number of times I hit the Snooze button
5:35 AM- the time I woke up Samuel
15 mins, 10 secs- how long it took me to run a mile and a half
6- the number of new stamps I got in the mail !  :)

This post sounded a lot more exciting in my head. Sorry about that! On to more exciting things...  :)

I made a wedding scrapbook as a gift for a friend of mine over the weekend. I think 8 inch x 8 inch is the perfect size for gift albums. You have enough of a page to scrapbook on, and for someone who's never done it before, it's not too overwhelming. I made an album for another girlfriend in February, so I just took the pages I did for her and revamped them for this album. The color theme is Navy and White (no, she's not IN the Navy) and I added pale yellow as an accent. Let me know what you think!

I got a great deal on the album at Michael's. "A" is for Archer, their last name. I used rub ons for the date.

I repurposed the packaging from some embellishments to hold some tags I made. Cara, the bride, can use them to journal about the pages. I thought this would be a nice touch since most of the backgrounds are dark. I used letter stickers for the Mr. and Mrs. and a border punch for the sides.

Nice and easy. She can put a 4x6 or a 5x7 on each photo mat. Either one will fit.

This isn't a great photo, but I used silk flowers that you buy on a stem at Michael's. I just pulled them off the stem, put a brad through the hole that's already there, and attached them to the page. The white border was made using a border punch.

This is just pattern paper, 2 chipboard letters, and brads.

I love this page because it makes me think of a garden trellis.  :)

Silver textured cardstock from Bazzill. I love the bride and groom embellishments!

I used 2 chipboard pieces and some scraps from cutting my 8.5 x 11 paper down to 8 x 8.

This page is my #2 favorite of the bunch: flowers, brads, trim, and ribbon.

I used paper scraps again, as well as pale yellow and silver brads.

I LOVE how this one turned out! My #1 favorite! I used liquid pearls to do the small dots on the trim.

Last page- chipboard "A" for Archer inside a chipboard frame.

Inside the back cover is a spot for a CD/DVD. I decorated an envelope and stuck it inside in case the bride wants to save something special in it. A love note, maybe?

I hope you enjoyed looking at my album. I put it together in about 3-4 hours. I was pretty nervous because I wanted it to have the preppy/country/casual/Eddie Bauer/Nautica/Sperry boat shoes feel that the wedding website had. I think I was able to capture it.  :)

Thanks for reading!
