Needless to say, I didn't get many pictures throughout the week. I did make good use of my time though- enjoying the quiet at home, going to dinner with my friend and her sister (the kids were all 3 in VBS), getting a pedicure, and getting work done around the house.
Friday was our 5 year anniversary, and I look forward to celebrating once Jacob gets back. I did get to celebrate, sort of, by going out to dinner with our Bible Study group to the Yard House. It was delicious! Afterwards, the couple I rode with wanted to stop at Krispy Kreme for donuts. How could I say no??? ;)
Saturday was dedicated to Samuel. He slept in until 9:15 since we were both out late the night before, so we had a slow start to the day. Once we got moving, we packed up a picnic and headed out to Mt. Trashmore park in Virginia Beach for some running/playground time. That boy had a blast! :) When we got back to the car I noticed a piece of metal sticking out of my rear driver side tire. Not good. Luckily we live right behind Kramer Tire, and they were able to get it replaced while I took Samuel home for a nap. While he napped, and they worked on the car, I was able to get the yard mowed and trimmed up.
Sunday morning was church at the Methodist church he went to for VBS, followed by naptime and chores. And tonight starts the kickoff for VBS at OUR church where I will be volunteering all week! Luckily Jacob comes home VERY soon, so Samuel can stay home and go to bed on time.
And that was our week! :)
