Mello Saturday

Today has been low key. Samuel decided to get up pretty early, and my wonderful husband got up with him. The sweetest words to my ears? "Don't get up. I've got him." I would marry him all over again!!  :)

Samuel didn't really nap much today, so we're hoping he will sleep all night like usual. Kathi, our daycare provider, keeps him up for long stretches of time and he naps longer for her. Case in point- both Samuel AND Jacob took 2 hour naps today. I was able to fold a load of clothes, put 2 loads away, clean our bathroom, wash sheets and towels, and make a few phone calls. This is monumental!!! (not that Jacob napped, but Samuel did)  :)

We've also noticed that Samuel is getting better at holding his head up. Kathi props him up with blankets and works with him on visual stimulation. So today Jacob propped him up in the corner of the overstuffed couch and he was happy as can be! He liked looking around the den, watching Jacob, and just seeing things from new heights.

I took this picture from the stairs, looking down into the den. He looks so little! Don't worry- he wasn't alone.

This evening Jacob and Samuel hung out and I was able to do some scrapbooking. Yeah!!! The first page is one I completed this fall. This will be the first page in Samuel's scrapbook. (he also has a baby book)

These are the pages I completed tonight. I'm going to a scrapbook class every month, and we get a kit plus full color instructions of the pages we'll be making. I used the pages from this summer as inspiration to make his birth day pages. I was pretty excited to get these done. The S-M-T pins I bought last summer specifically for this layout.

Because I had extra pictures I wanted to use, I created an insert that will go in the album BETWEEN the 2 pages. Here they are front and back.

Thanks for reading!

One last thing I don't want to forget- Kathi emailed me yesterday to say that Samuel laughed for her. And today, I got him to laugh for me too! First laugh but not the last!!!  :)
