No pictures...some days are just like that

Whew! We survived the weekend!! Saturday the Amoxocillin did it's magic and Samuel slept all night. Yeah! I'm not sure what time he woke up (Jacob got up with him) but I heard him around 9ish (?) and we hung out while he ate and played. It was SO nice to have my happy, smiling, babbling, loving life Samuel back. Sick babies are NO fun.  :(

I had my scrapbook class in the afternoon, and made another beautiful 2 page layout. I love Basic Grey paper and, once again, they didn't disappoint. My plan this time is to have Jacob take some pictures of me and do the layout about ME.  :) I went through my hard drive and couldn't find a single picture of myself without anyone else in it. Except the one where I'm holding the container of cupcakes. ;)

I had been promising Jacob that I'd make Shepherd's Pie, and I guess he had his heart set on it. Since he kept bringing it up. There were some *issues* when I tried to prepare it last week, and I promised him that I wouldn't go to bed until I made it. And it was delicious!!! I don't like cooked carrots, so instead I used corn (for my Husker husband), half a bag of peas, and some left over black beans from the 2 Dressing Salad last Monday. I rinsed the beans well so they didn't have the beany syrup on them. Kind of a use-up-what's-left-in-the-fridge meal.

And tonight....we had leftovers!!! Which isn't a big deal to me, but my (cough, cough) husband isn't always a fan. But he wanted that in lieu of a fresh meal. So we were done with dinner by 6:45 PM (HUGE accomplishment for the Thomas family, I assure you) and Samuel was tucked in his crib asleep by 7:05 PM. I went back down to the den and Jacob joked that it was 7:15, we had eaten dinner, and he didn't know what to do with himself??!!?? My reply "Parents Gone Wild!" So I napped on the couch and he played a video game. I know, we are pretty exciting people.  ;)

Tomorrow I have duty and will be going to work in my dress whites. So the challenge will be getting Samuel and I ready without getting dirty. I guess all Navy Mamas are up to that challenge regularly.  :)

Aaaaaand my sister Amy is up in Baltimore with my sister Amanda and they will be arriving late Wednesday night!!!!!!!!! To say that I'm excited is an understatement. Amy hasn't met Samuel yet, just visually through Skype and I'm not sure which of us is more excited. I've chatted with them both constantly since Saturday so it's like we're all together already.

That wraps up our Monday. It's 10:42 PM and we're going to hit the showers and hit the rack. Looking forward to my watch all day tomorrow, working Wednesday, and then enjoying a 4 day weekend with my sisters!!!
