Stripping....and waxing

I have been dreading today ALL week. I am on duty this weekend, and now that I am working down in 800 Division with the other Parachute Riggers (instead of upstairs in the Career Counselor office) I have to work on my duty Saturdays. Boo! Jacob and I stayed up too late last night so I could pretend for a little bit that I got my entire weekend. Then I was up at 4:45 AM this morning to get dressed, pack my lunch, and be out the door by 5:15 AM. My plan was to treat myself to Starbuck's. Did you know they aren't open on Saturdays at 5:20 AM???? Double boo!

When I got to work, we had Muster (roll call) and then started to work. We have a big inspection coming up (and the reason Jacob's departure date from the command was delayed) so they want everything to look purdy. Which explains why PR2 McCarty, PR2 -Ski, and I were stripping, swapping, waxing, and buffing 2 areas of my work center. Did I mention that I organized my pantry and snack/lunch prep cabinet last night and my back was sore?  :(  So moving a swab around on the deck wasn't fun. But we got it done, and were out of there by 1:15 PM. Not too bad.

I got home, took a shower, and took a NAP!  :) Samuel and I both climbed into our (separate) beds for an hour and a half. I woke up around 6, changed Samuel, and told Jacob "My back hurts and I'm tired. We are going out to dinner. I will cook tomorrow. I promise. Where do you want to go?"  :) So we loaded up Lil Bit and went down the street to Chili's. As we were finishing up, Samuel started to get antsy, so we had to forgo my FAVORITE thing of all time-------> MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it really is worth all caps, bold, and the exclamation points.  :)

My dad and his wife gave Samuel the bumble bee for Christmas. He loves it!

Big boys sit in highchairs.

Since my husband and I are a glutton for punishment, we decided to take Samuel to the Super Walmart since we were out of most everything. I know, I know, I'm nuts. He did fairly well for an hour and a half, $300, trip. As soon as we got home, Jacob unloaded the car while I quickly bathed Samuel, diapered him, jammies, bottle, and off to bed. He didn't even fight me. It was like taking candy from a....Samuel!  :)

Tomorrow I have to phone in to Muster and the plan is to do housework. I hate duty weekends because you really don't even get a weekend. I'm just glad I don't have to stand a watch. If so, that would be 9 more hours away from my boys. I just have to remind myself- just a little longer until we go on vacation, just a little longer until we go on vacation, just a little longer....
