Time flies when you're having fun

This week has been INSANE. Where does the time go?!?

Monday was pretty uneventful. Tuesday Jacob and Samuel made a "No girls allowed" fort with the Tummy Time mat. I don't know who has more fun with Samuel- Jacob or me.  ;)

Wednesday Jacob and I were able to sneak away from work for an hour to grab lunch together. This NEVER happens! We went to Taco Bell- had to be quick!

I got a call from Kathi around noon to let me know Samuel had a temperature of 100.1 and had slept all day except to wake up for 30 minutes, eat a few ounces, and then go back to sleep. Luckily that was also the day of his 4 month Dr appt, so we were able to get him checked out. He weighs a whopping 17.6 lbs and is 25 inches long.  :) My fat baby has back fat AND front fat!!!  ;) He had to get 3 shots, and it was pretty tough for me. Who's idea was it to have the Mama hold down the baby while he gets his shots??!!?? And he's looking at me like, "Mama, why are you doing this to me???" It broke my heart. I cried later that night...

Thursday it was H-O-T outside. I felt pretty bad about Samuel and his shots. When I pulled him out of his crib, he gave me a huge smile and a Samuel kiss right on the chin. (he opens his mouth and makes this funny noise while rubbing his mouth on you; he hasn't learned to purse his lips yet) I guess he was over the shots! I dropped him off at Kathi's and headed to base to run before work. Samuel did a lot of napping at Kathi's due to his shots the day before. When he got home, he was ready to play with his Daddy.

  

His jon-jon isn't snapped to help cool him off. We don't usually show off our nappy. We have class!  ;)

Today was just as hot. Jacob left work a few minutes before I did, so he went to pick up Samuel. When they arrived at home, both my boys were sweaty and red faced.

Samuel had a tough time settling this evening, and I'm pretty tired so I didn't take any pictures. And if you think I'm going to wake up my sleeping baby to take his picture you're nuts!  :)

Tomorrow is National Scrapbook Day (don't laugh!) and I'm going to a Cinco de Mayo scrapbook event at Beach Scrapbooks. I've been looking forward to this for a few weeks now. I'm going to make something special for my sisters, and probably work on Mother's Day cards. I won't have a lot of room to spread out (unlike at home) so I can't bring a lot of stuff. I'm bringing cupcakes to share. (I will post the recipe soon!)

Sorry I haven't updated the blog this week. It was Monday, then Tuesday..... then Friday!
