4 + 2 = 6 teeth!!!

I've been away from the computer for a bit. On Sunday, Samuel and I took care of an SSM- Special Surprise Mission for Jacob.  ;) I can't say what it is on the blog because he reads it, but I'm VERY excited to show you when Jacob comes home. (VERY SOON!!!)

Sunday night Samuel did NOT want to sleep! I didn't know WHAT was going on with my boy! He seemed hot when I checked on him, and we were both up every few hours. Needless to say, Monday was rough for both of us.

Monday night, same thing. Tuesday night, same thing. Today I get a text that 2 more teeth have popped through his gums! THAT explains it!!! Now he has 4 bottom teeth, and the 2 top teeth that go on EITHER SIDE of where his two front teeth would be. We still don't have center front teeth yet on top, but I'm sure they're coming.

I've been having some VERY rough days at work. Last Thursday, Friday, this Monday, Tuesday, and today haven't gone well. Last weekend, I looked out the bonus room window to see...

No, that's not Jacob. That is our next door neighbor, Dave, mowing our yard. He then proceeded to trim the edges with a weed eater. I'm going to make cookies, I just haven't done it yet.

Then yesterday I stopped by my neighbor Brenda's house to see if her Dad (who lives next door) could inflate the jogging stroller tires. I started telling her about my day, and just as I started to cry her Dad came out to help with the stroller. He took care of the tires, and I headed back home. Then a knock at the door. It was her son, Joey, bringing me banana bread to make me feel better.

Then TODAY, as I was feeding Samuel dinner, another knock at the door. It was our around-the-corner neighbor Ruby (who I met through Brenda) stopping by with a box of boy clothes for Samuel, or anyone I knew that could use them.

Just when I think I can't handle things...God and my neighbors step in.

Here's my little monkey, always making me laugh when I'm down in the dumps.

Samuel, where is your other leg???

There it is!

He even wiped my face the other night when I was crying. How does an almost 8 month old know how to do that?.....

Thanks for reading.

  1. Hey, Ashley - I'm so sorry things are rough at work. The enemy sure knows how to get us down, doesn't he. Praise the Lord that He is a God of HOPE and encouragement!! I love that He brought your neighbors alongside to remind you that you are not alone. I'm praying that things smooth out at work and that you and Samuel get some sleep. It's really hard to be hopeful when you are exhausted. :( You are a WONDERFUL mom, wife and friend!!!!!
